The Mission and Vision of Triple Threat
Transforming lives and communities through excellent theater education
We believe in
- Reflecting God’s image
- Triple Threat believes that we are all created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:14). This means that we reflect God’s image when we create art and treat each other with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, faith systems, or socioeconomic status.

- Excellence in theater
- We do theater excellently to celebrate God’s gifts in performance art (Phillipians 4:8, Exodus 35 and 36, Romans 12:3-8).
- We are reflecting God’s image as storytellers by producing art that celebrates truth about him, the world, and our place in it.
- Creating community
- Theatrical arts have a unique ability to create community and bridge strong connections between different groups. Enjoying theater as a community should not be restricted by talent, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, gender, or age.

Jon Schimpf (Associate Director), an alumni of Triple Threat, has been involved in the performing arts since he was very young, but really developed a passion for acting in middle and high school. Some of his favorite acting credits include Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), Shakespeare's As You Like It (Orlando), and Hairspray (Link Larkin). In high school, Jon was given the opportunity to direct a production of Shakespeare’s "The Tempest", and fell in love with the craft. Some of Jon's favorite directing credits include Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Legally Blonde Jr., and Seussical Jr., and hopefully many more in the future. Jon holds a Bachelor of Arts from Covenant College where he sang with their traveling Madrigal Choir and creatively assisted with their theater and music productions. Jon now works full time as a school counselor at The Philadelphia Classical School.
