THE HISTORY
The Imago Dei Initiative idea came from our Founding Director Andy Boettcher after he had successfully directed the first musical at Woodrow Wilson High School in over 45 years. He noticed that while there were some theater programs in Camden city, there was a lack of opportunities for young people of Camden to collaborate with the peers only a few miles away. Triple Threat then arranged to host several campers from Camden in their West End Camp. The effort provided excellent opportunities for young people from diverse backgrounds and cultures to interact with each other, collaborate together, and build long-lasting friendships. The program also introduced a desire to facilitate community building between Camden City and the South Jersey area for the benefit of all youth.

THE VISION
The Imago Dei Initiative seeks to use theater as a bridge for families from diverse backgrounds, religions, ethnicities, and moral frameworks to build authentic, positive relationships based on mutual respect and understanding. The collaborative nature of theater encourages this kind of unity and tolerance that is very much needed in an increasingly divided culture. We produce outstanding musicals featuring young performers working in tandem with each other for the purpose of building community, love, and mutual respect. We believe that building these skills in the next generation will create individuals who can positively connect with diverse people and ideas in either the workforce or university.
